In-School & College Tuition

Bespoke music programmes for schools and colleges across Leeds, tailored to your specific needs.

Roundhay Music is increasingly called upon to supply music tuition in schools and colleges around Leeds and is helping to set up music departments in primary schools.

Tuition is geared to each school’s specific needs after consultation with head teachers, heads of music or music coordinators. School policies such as report writing and scheduling are all coordinated with the school’s administration.

What we can offer

In addition to instrumental lessons and classroom teaching, we offer a wide range of activities:

  • Music clubs for bands, recorder ensembles and other groups
  • Orchestra set-up and ongoing tuition
  • Choirs and singing groups
  • Demonstrations, displays and workshops customised to the school’s requirements and budget
  • Introductions to any musical instrument, with opportunities for children to hear them in solo and ensemble contexts
  • Extra tuition for university students for finals or a second instrument

Instrument funding

We keep up to date with funding details for purchasing musical instruments to help individual students or their schools. Participation in local events and music festivals around Leeds is also encouraged.
