Everything you need to know about how we arrange lessons and what to expect.
Tuition is available on any instrument to pupils of all ages and standards in and around Leeds. We also have tutors available for singing, history of music, composition, theory and aural. We offer all styles, including jazz, classical, folk and rock.
We can help students who wish to work towards practical and theory graded examinations, music diplomas, or GCSE / AS / A Level music examinations. We experience a high rate of merits and distinctions and there are frequent music scholarships to senior schools gained by our pupils. Of course, we also cater for those who wish to play purely for enjoyment — exams are never obligatory.
Roundhay Music tutors are carefully selected through interview and audition as highly qualified teachers and experienced professional players specialising in their own instrument. All tutors hold enhanced disclosures from the Disclosure & Barring Service.
All tuition is arranged on an individual basis, tailored to the pupil’s requirements both musically and logistically. Our fees are kept at the most reasonable level possible with both pupil and tutor in mind.
A consultation lesson is always arranged before routine lessons are booked, so there is no obligation until you have been introduced to a tutor and are happy with the arrangements.
Students are readily given guidance on choosing instruments and information on local music clubs and events.
We always recommend you choose the instrument which you believe makes the nicest sound.
If you would like to arrange or discuss lessons, please use the contact page to submit an enquiry and we will respond as soon as possible.
