Roundhay Music is a proud partner of the West Yorkshire Music Hub.
Until September 2024, the Leeds Music Education Partnership (LMEP) was the music education hub for Leeds. It has now joined four other local hubs to create the West Yorkshire Music Hub. ArtForms are the lead partner in Leeds. Working with schools and our partners, we aim to give all children and young people in Leeds the opportunity to learn an instrument, make music with others, to sing and to progress through levels of excellence.
Whilst Roundhay Music is a WYMH partner, the majority of the work and activity we undertake is in addition to that which is supported, commissioned or funded by WYMH. We are responsible for the quality assurance of our work and ensuring we have robust child protection, health and safety and equal opportunities policies in place when working with children and young people.
Part of Leeds City Council, ArtForms provides a wide range of learning for children and young people, including instrumental and vocal lessons, National Curriculum support, accompanying pianists, ensemble conductors, projects, workshops and concerts in schools, the City of Leeds Youth Music groups, community Music Centres, and the Gordon Parry Centre for learners with learning difficulties.
Specialise in collaborative group work, using music (and/or music technology) as a vehicle for increasing confidence, self-esteem, social cohesion and breaking barriers to learning.
