What data do we collect?
Roundhay Music collects the following data:
- Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number, etc.)
- Any additional information (e.g. your musical experience, availability, personal situation) that you may choose to provide us so that we can arrange and facilitate bespoke music tuition.
How do we collect your data?
You directly provide Roundhay Music with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
- Submit an enquiry through our website, email or by phoning us
- If your child receives music lessons at a school in which we provide music tuition, you may choose to complete a New Pupil Form or the school may provide us with your child's name, age and form.
Roundhay Music may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:
- A Roundhay Music tutor may pass us your details in order to contact you to arrange tuition
- A school in which we provide our services may tell us your child's name so that we can inform our tutor in advance of the first lesson taking place.
Why do we collect your data and how will we use it?
Roundhay Music collects your data so that we can:
- Arrange music tuition for you or your child
- Continue with the administration of your/your child's music tuition
- Email you with information about your tuition or Roundhay Music events or musical opportunities (e.g. Concerts, ensembles etc.), which we think may be appropriate for the furtherment of your/your child's musical development.
If you register for tuition, Roundhay Music will share your data with a music tutor so that he/she can contact you to provide music tuition.
How do we store your data?
Roundhay Music securely stores your data on a local server network, which requires password authentication to access.
Roundhay Music will keep your data on our server until we receive notice from you to delete the data. We often experience pupils return to tuition after a period of absence and it is important that we know what tuition was provided in the past and by which tutor, in order that we can tailor the tuition to best suit the new enquiry.
Marketing
Roundhay Music would like to send you information about our events or musical opportunities of ours that we think may be of interest to you.
We send these emails to all pupils that are registered for tuition, however you may always opt out at a later date by telling us on email, or telling us verbally, or by writing to us.
You have the right at any time to stop Roundhay Music from contacting you for marketing purposes or giving your data to a music tutor.
If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please let us know.
